What TSMC Makes and How Its Business Has Grown
TSMC is a dedicated semiconductor foundry. It manufactures chips designed by other companies, including processors used in smartphones, personal computers, data centers and artificial intelligence systems. The company does not sell chips under its own brand, and its customers range from large chip designers to smaller fabless firms.
For the fourth quarter of 2025, TSMC reported revenue of NT$1,046.09 billion, or about US$33.73 billion. Its consolidated sales for full year 2025 set a new annual record, rising 31 percent over 2024.
Outlook Under Wei for 2026
In October 2026 TSMC raised its forecast for 2026 sales growth to 44 percent in U.S. dollar terms and kept its 2026 capital spending budget at US$60 billion to US$64 billion. Its 2-nanometer process made up 8 percent of third quarter sales, up from 3 percent in the second quarter, and the company guided fourth quarter 2026 revenue to between US$52.3 billion and US$54.3 billion.
