This policy explains what personal data Bizolaunch (bizolaunch.com) collects, why, and what you can do about it. We have tried to keep it short and plain. If anything is unclear, get in touch.
Who we are
Bizolaunch is an online business publication edited by Joydeep Bhattacharya. For this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Bizolaunch.
What we collect and why
- When you just read the site: we don’t ask you to register, and we don’t run advertising or analytics trackers. Like almost every website, our hosting server records basic technical data (such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested) in server logs, which are used for security and to keep the site running.
- When you use our contact form: we collect your name, email address, the topic you choose and your message. We use these only to read and reply to your message, and to act on corrections or tips you send. The form sends your message to our editor by email.
- When you use our calculators: the numbers you type stay in your own browser. They are not sent to us or stored.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Cookies
Bizolaunch does not set advertising or tracking cookies for readers. WordPress and our caching software may set technical cookies for people who log in to manage the site; ordinary readers don’t need them. Our fonts are hosted on our own server, so loading a page does not send your data to a font provider. If we add analytics, advertising or a newsletter in future, we will update this policy first and, where required, ask for your consent.
Who we share data with
- Our hosting provider (Hostinger), which stores the website and its server logs.
- Our email provider, which delivers contact-form messages to our editor’s inbox.
- Authorities, only if the law requires it.
These providers may process data outside India. Where they do, we rely on them to protect it under their own security and privacy commitments.
Links to other websites
Our articles link to sources such as regulators, company filings and other publications. Once you leave Bizolaunch, the other site’s privacy policy applies, not ours.
How long we keep data
We keep contact-form emails for as long as we need them to deal with your message and any follow-up, and delete them when they are no longer needed. Server logs are kept for the period set by our hosting provider.
Your rights
If you are in India, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 gives you rights over your personal data, including the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to withdraw consent, and to have a complaint addressed. Readers elsewhere may have similar rights under their own laws. To use any of these rights, contact us through the contact page and we will respond as quickly as we can.
Children
Bizolaunch is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete them.
Security
We use HTTPS across the site and keep our software up to date. No website can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
Contact and grievances
For questions, requests or complaints about your personal data, write to us through the contact page and choose “Something else”. Joydeep Bhattacharya handles these requests.
This policy describes how Bizolaunch works today. It is not legal advice; if your situation needs a formal legal view, please consult a lawyer.
