Sukhinder Singh Cassidy Leads Xero From Wellington
Sukhinder Singh Cassidy became Chief Executive Officer of Xero on 1 February 2023, taking over from Steve Vamos. Xero named her in November 2022, and she joined the company on 28 November 2022 to prepare for the handover.

From Merrill Lynch and Yodlee to Google, Joyus and StubHub
Singh Cassidy studied business administration at Western University in Ontario, Canada, which later gave her an honorary Doctor of Laws. She began in investment banking at Merrill Lynch in New York and London before moving to Silicon Valley.

What Xero Builds for Small Businesses and Advisors
Xero makes cloud accounting software for small businesses and their accountants and bookkeepers. During the 2026 financial year it completed the purchase of Melio, a US bill pay platform for small businesses.
For the year ended 31 March 2026, Xero reported operating revenue of NZ$2.75 billion, up 31 percent, and 4.92 million customers, up 11 percent.
