Techolac.com is an English-language WordPress blog that publishes mostly ranked software and app lists, and third-party tools put its audience at roughly 11,500 visits a month, most of them from India. That figure is Semrush’s estimate for September 2026, not a number the site publishes, and Similarweb’s free data points to a smaller, falling audience. Every number in the cards above is a third-party estimate or something we observed on the site on 29 October 2026; none comes from Techolac’s own analytics.
Listicle-Heavy Output, Falling Traffic and No Named Owner
- Techolac calls itself a weblog on technology and internet news, reviews and tips, but its recent output is dominated by “best X in 2026” and “alternatives” lists.
- Semrush estimates 11.5K visits in September 2026, down from 14.34K in August; Similarweb shows 19.1K visits over three months to July 2026.
- The site names no owner or company. Its only listed contact is a free webmail address.
- Techolac runs its own guest post page and says it prefers dofollow links placed in the article body.
Site Snapshot
The homepage carries the name “Techolac – Computer Technology News” and a meta description calling it a weblog on emerging technology and internet news, reviews and tips. The main menu runs Internet, Business, Computers, Gadgets, Lifestyle, Phones, Travel and Tech, with a “More” menu holding Automotive, Education, Entertainment, Health, SEO, Linux, WordPress, Home Improvement, How To and Games. That is a wide spread for a site with “tech” in its pitch, and it tells you Techolac writes for search demand rather than for one defined readership.

Who Runs Techolac
Nobody, on the record. The contact page gives a free webmail address and no name, address or phone number. The disclaimer page carries a template credit, “Prepared for: Techolac” by PriorityDigital.com dated 2017 to 2019, says the agreement is governed by US law, and still mentions “HOSTHINT” in places, which looks like text left over from a template. None of that identifies a person or registered business behind the site. We could not pull a WHOIS or RDAP record, so the domain’s age and registrar are not confirmed here. The 2019 copyright year in the footer shows the site has been around at least that long, but it is not a registration date.
What Techolac Publishes
We could not read Techolac’s XML sitemap or robots.txt, so this post has no full URL count or lastmod range. As a substitute we classified the 14 posts listed on the Tech category page on 29 October 2026. They are dated between 25 August 2025 and 12 October 2026, and they are not shown in date order.
| Format | Posts (of 14) | Example title |
|---|---|---|
| Ranked “best” or “top” software lists | 9 | 12 Best Appointment Scheduling Software in 2026 |
| Alternatives and “sites like” lists | 3 | Best 16 Sites Like Numlooker In 2026 |
| Benefits list | 1 | Top 15 Benefits of Using a Managed IT Service Provider |
| Explainer | 1 | AV over IP Explained |
Twelve of the 14 are ranked lists. The homepage tells the same story: of its five newest posts, three are lists (“16 Best AI Website Builders in 2026”, a TikTok viewer roundup and a disk imaging list, all dated 12 October 2026), while two dated 21 October 2026 are essays on staging environments and ERP software for fleet maintenance. A sample of one category is small, so treat the mix as indicative, not a census.
Publishing has not stopped. The newest dates we saw were 21 October 2026 on the homepage and 12 October 2026 in Tech, but the Tech page also lists only one post from November 2025 to March 2026, which suggests an irregular rhythm.
Traffic Dashboard: Two Estimates, Two Pictures
Semrush and Similarweb both offer free summary pages for techolac.com. They cover different months and use different data, so the numbers below sit side by side rather than being averaged.
| Metric | Semrush (September 2026, updated 14 Oct 2026) | Similarweb (free page, July 2026) |
|---|---|---|
| Visits | 11.5K in September; 14.34K in August; 7.05K in July | 19.1K over the last three months |
| Month-on-month change | -19.8% vs August | -48.06% vs previous month |

Where the Visits Come From
| Channel | Semrush | Similarweb |
|---|---|---|
| Direct | 43.38% of traffic | Listed second; no percentage shown |
| google.com sends 15.62% of traffic | Search keyword split shown as 100% organic, 0% paid | |
| Organic search (keyword model) | 44 visits, down 47% | 435 keywords tracked |
| Paid search | 0 | 0% |
| Display and mail | Not shown | Listed first and third; no percentages shown |
| AI assistants | None detected | Not shown |
Even inside Semrush the two search numbers disagree: 15.62% of 11.5K visits from google.com would be far more than 44 organic visits. The likely reason is that Semrush builds its organic figure from the keywords it tracks in its own database, while visit shares come from clickstream data. That gap is a reminder to read any single figure loosely.
Why the Tools Disagree
The Semrush and Similarweb columns cover different months (September against July) and come from different panels. Small sites magnify the gap because a handful of panel users can swing a country share. India’s share runs from 15.9% to 63.64% depending on the tool, so the safe reading is that India is the largest single market and the US and UK follow. Both tools agree on direction: Similarweb shows the global rank sliding over three months, and Semrush shows September below August.
Search Footprint and Links
Semrush counts 35.24K backlinks from 4.65K referring domains and an Authority Score of 23. Its top organic keyword for India in September 2026 was “sites like filmyzilla”, where Techolac held position 1, and most of the top keywords on Similarweb’s page are variations of the same query. Filmyzilla is a film piracy site. Similarweb files techolac.com under File Sharing and Hosting, and its outgoing-links breakdown puts 68.6% under Sports-Other, 17.73% under Streaming and Online TV and 9% under Sports Betting. Semrush lists buffstreams.tv as a common next site. For a brand weighing a placement, that context matters more than the authority number.
Strengths and Weaknesses
- Breadth: 18 menu categories mean a list exists for most software niches, from EHS management to warehouse inventory.
- Still active: new posts appeared in October 2026.
- Link profile: thousands of referring domains, by Semrush’s count.
- Thin transparency: no owner, no About page linked and only a webmail contact address.
- Format sameness: listicles dominate, and we saw no stated testing method for the “best” picks.
- Audience fit: its biggest keyword is a piracy alternatives query, and traffic estimates are falling.
Who Techolac Suits
Readers looking for a quick list of names in a software category can start here, then check prices and features on the vendors’ own sites. Anyone wanting depth will do better with explainers such as our pieces on Wi-Fi 7 or retrieval-augmented generation, and more profiles sit in our Websites section.
For marketers, Techolac’s Submit a Guest Post page says the most effective guest posts carry dofollow links placed in the article body, and gives the same contact address. It lists no prices, word counts or formal rules. We make no claim about the value of any link. If you are paying for exposure, judge it the way you would any acquisition spend, using something like a CAC payback period, and look at the audience the tools describe before the authority score.
