Nail Salon Names: 200 Ideas Shown as Salon Logos

Two hundred nail salon name ideas with logo previews and practical steps for testing and registering the name you settle on.

Choosing a Nail Bar Name That Fits Your Style

Nail clients pick a salon mostly on two things: photos of finished sets and how clean the place looks. Your name should support both. A soft, tidy name suggests hygiene, while a bolder name suits a studio known for chrome, 3D charms and hand-painted art.

The trade has a naming habit that you can use to your advantage. Drive past any shopping strip in the US and you will see “Nails & Spa”, “Luxury Nails”, “Pro Nails” and “Top Nails” again and again. Those names are hard to rank on Google Maps because dozens of listings share them. A name with one distinct word gives you a fighting chance in local search.

Picture the name in the places it will appear:

  • Strip-mall sign: landlords often set a fixed panel size on the pylon sign. A name of 12 to 16 characters stays readable from a car at the junction.
  • Instagram grid: nail artists win clients through posts and reels. Check that the handle is short enough to sit on a photo watermark without covering the nails.
  • Google Maps: the profile name must match the sign. Adding “Gel X Near Me” to it breaks Google’s guidelines.
  • Booking apps: most show only the first 20 or so characters in search results, so “Bluebell Nail Studio and Spa Lounge” gets cut off.

A mobile nail tech or a home studio has different needs. A personal name such as “Nails by Priya” builds trust with regulars, though it is harder to sell later. If you hope to open a second chair-row salon in another suburb, pick a name with no street or town in it.

Test your top five with real clients. Read each name aloud and ask them to spell it back. Search each on Instagram and on your state or Companies House register. Then mock each one up on a sample price list next to “Gel manicure $45” and see which feels right for your prices.

Next Steps for a New Nail Bar Name

Check the web address first. Our domain name generator shows whether the .com and your local ending are taken. When the plain name is gone, browse the domain name ideas pages for patterns such as adding “studio” or your city.

Search the trademark register next. In the US that means the USPTO database, in the UK the IPO search and in India the IP India public search. Polish and gel systems are heavily trademarked, so a salon name that borrows a product line’s name is a common reason for a cease and desist letter.

Register the business under the name:

  • US: form an LLC with your state or file a DBA (assumed name) with the county or state. Many states also license each nail technician and the salon itself, and the license usually shows the business name. The US LLP guide covers the partnership route.
  • UK: if you form a limited company, Companies House rejects names that match an existing company, and some words need permission. Sole traders can trade under a name without registering it.
  • India: apply for name approval with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs through RUN-LLP or RUN before you incorporate. See our guide to registering an LLP in India.

Grab the Instagram and TikTok handles the same day. Then create your Google Business Profile with the primary category “Nail salon”, your opening hours and at least 15 photos of finished sets. Google will usually ask you to verify, often with a short video showing the sign and the work stations.

Brief a designer on the logo once the name is final, and get the shopfront and pylon panel quoted. Set up invoices for bridal parties and gift cards with our invoice generator. If any check above fails, go back to the business name generator and run a fresh set of options.

Nail Salon Names Clients Mishear or Misspell

  • Generic words alone. “Pro Nails” or “Luxury Nails” gives you no way to stand apart on Google Maps.
  • Damage words. “Chip”, “Crack” or “Scratch” in a name reminds clients of what can go wrong with a manicure.
  • Product brand names. Gel systems, polish lines and dip powders are trademarks. Do not build your salon name on one.
  • Digits in the name. “10 Nails” splits searches between “10” and “ten” and makes the domain harder to give out over the phone.
  • Unintended double meanings. Any name built on “nailed” needs a careful read. Some versions have a crude second meaning.
  • “Spa” without the facilities. Clients who see “Spa” expect pedicure chairs and massage. If you only offer manicures, they will say so in reviews.
  • Names that lock you into one service. A name built on acrylics alone ages badly if clients move to gel or builder base.
