Kolkata’s coworking market splits cleanly in two, and the split follows geography. Salt Lake Sector V holds the national brands, with Awfis, Regus, Spaces, Smartworks, IndiQube and UrbanWrk all running centres in its IT towers. Central Kolkata, from Dalhousie and BBD Bagh to Park Street and Camac Street, has the cheaper, locally run spaces. For a small team watching costs, away.center in Dalhousie prints private cabins from ₹7,000 a seat a month, and East India Works lists desks from ₹5,500. For a tech-park address, Awfis seats in Sector V and New Town are listed from ₹7,500 to ₹13,500.
Prices below are published starting rates, so recheck them before a visit. The metro notes matter more than they used to, because the Green Line now runs straight from Sector V to Howrah.

Our reading of the table is simple: the published starting prices in Dalhousie and around Park Street, from ₹5,500 to ₹8,500, all sit below the cheapest Salt Lake Awfis seat at ₹9,000. New Town is the exception among the tech-park options, because Awfis Ecospace is listed at ₹7,500, below every Salt Lake Awfis centre.
Kolkata Operators That Print Their Prices
These three let you work out a budget before you call anyone, which is useful for freelancers and early teams who want to compare options on a Sunday evening rather than sit through three sales calls.
away.center: Three Dalhousie Hubs With a Full Rate Card
away.center publishes the most detailed rate card in Kolkata. It has three hubs in Dalhousie: Eden, Eden One and Writer’s Inc., which it describes as its premium tier. Eden is the value option, with day passes at ₹400, dedicated desks from ₹6,500 a month and private cabins from ₹7,000 a seat for teams of up to 14.
Writer’s Inc. charges ₹500 a day, ₹7,500 for a desk and ₹8,500 a seat for a cabin of up to 12 people. Eden One has the highest desk price of the three, at ₹8,000, and cabins from ₹9,000 a seat for teams of up to four. All three sell a 12-day Circuit pass from ₹4,000 to ₹4,500 and a monthly Drift pass at ₹8,000. Prices exclude GST and are quoted at 12-month rates, though the page also offers no-lock-in terms and 3- to 24-month contracts.
In July 2026 founder Udbhav Jalan said the company plans new coworking sites in Sector 5 and Rajarhat over the following two quarters. For now, it remains a central Kolkata choice, close to the busy office district around BBD Bagh, once known as Dalhousie Square.
East India Works: The Lowest Desk Price in Central Kolkata
East India Works runs several centres across the city, including Mission Row, Eden, Park Street, Salt Lake and Esplanade, with Bhowanipore, Bowbazar and Kalighat also named. It gives a starting price of ₹5,500 a month for a coworking desk, rising with location and amenities.
It offers workstations, dedicated desks and private cabins for individuals, startups and small firms, plus flexi passes for visitors. Cabin prices are not printed, so ask for a quote for your team size, and remember that a spread across Park Street, Esplanade and Salt Lake also lets a team pick the centre closest to most people’s homes.
Awfis: Nine Kolkata Centres With Listed Seat Prices
Awfis has the biggest national-brand presence in Kolkata, with nine centres and published seat prices per month. Seven are in Salt Lake: Godrej Waterside from ₹9,000, Technopolis and Technopolis 2 from ₹9,500, Godrej Genesis from ₹11,000, Eco Centre from ₹13,000 and Delta Tower from ₹13,500.
Outside Salt Lake, Ecospace Business Park in New Town is the cheapest at ₹7,500 a seat. Siddha Esplanade in Taltala, close to central Kolkata, starts at ₹11,000, and Acropolis in East Kolkata Township at ₹13,500. Awfis day passes cost ₹399 at Ecospace and ₹449 at Godrej Waterside, which makes it easy to test a centre before you commit. Confirm prices directly with Awfis and treat these as starting points.
Sector V Brands That Price by Quote
Salt Lake Sector V is Kolkata’s IT district, and the larger operators here mostly sell managed floors and private offices to companies. Expect a site visit and a written proposal rather than a price on the page, with Regus as the exception because it lists per-person daily rates.
Regus and Spaces: Six IWG Centres From Camac Street to Anandapur
Regus and Spaces are both IWG brands, and they share the same six Kolkata centres: PS Arcadia Central on the 9th floor of 4A Camac Street, Globsyn Crystal Tower I and RDB Boulevard in Sector V, Primarc Square in Salt Lake Sector 3, Horizon on the EM Bypass and East Kolkata Township at Anandapur.
Private offices start at ₹300 a person a day, which works out to roughly ₹9,000 a month by our arithmetic. Dedicated desks start at ₹420 a day, day coworking at ₹1,490 and a day office at ₹2,690. Spaces adds meeting rooms from ₹1,250 an hour and business addresses from ₹32 a day. IWG says private office and dedicated desk members get 24-hour access, and utilities, cleaning and maintenance sit inside one price.
Smartworks: Three Managed Buildings in Sector V
Smartworks keeps all its Kolkata space in Sector V, at Godrej Genesis, Victoria Park and Mediasiti, which it describes as fully furnished offices in the city’s main IT and business district. Smartworks does not mention day passes, and the format suits a company that wants a whole floor or wing, fitted out and run by the operator.
IndiQube: Benchmark and Waterside in Salt Lake
IndiQube has two Kolkata centres, IndiQube Benchmark and IndiQube Waterside, both in Salt Lake. It gives a Kolkata sales line for quotes, and IndiQube sells virtual office plans from ₹799 a month across its network, which can help a business that needs a Kolkata address before it needs desks.
UrbanWrk: An Eighth-Floor Centre at Technopolis
UrbanWrk runs a centre on the 8th floor of the Technopolis Building in BP Block, Sector V. Open and premium desks there sell by the day for myHQ credits, and there is a four-seat meeting room. Amenities include Wi-Fi, tea and coffee, a pantry, power backup and paid two- and four-wheeler parking.
New Town and Rajarhat Spaces for Growing Teams
New Town and Rajarhat have newer buildings and more room than Sector V, and they are closer to the airport, so they suit teams whose staff live on the city’s north-eastern side.
WS Co-Works: Glass Cabins Near the Candor SEZ
WS Co-Works runs one centre at DH-6/8, Street 360, Action Area 1D, New Town, near the Candor SEZ. It offers four formats: open workspace for teams of more than 100, large glass-walled cabins for two to six people, small cabins for two senior managers, and conference rooms for four to ten. Flexi seats and training rooms are also listed for people who only need a desk now and then.
It offers pay-as-you-go rental options and shares rates by phone on request. Kolkata airport is about 20 minutes away.
GoodWorks Cowork: A Shared Floor in New Town Rajarhat
GoodWorks Cowork opened a shared workspace in New Town Rajarhat in June 2024. It offers dedicated desks for growing teams and flexible memberships, with high-speed Wi-Fi and ergonomic furniture. Tours are booked through its contact form, which is the route to current prices as well.
Getting to Work: Kolkata Metro Lines by Coworking Area
Kolkata’s metro map changed in 2025, and the new links shape which area works best for a team spread across the city. The Green Line gap between Sealdah and Esplanade opened on 22 August 2025. The line now runs without a break from Salt Lake Sector-V through Bengal Chemical, Sealdah, Esplanade and Howrah to Howrah Maidan.

Sector V is about to get a second line, because the Orange Line runs about 9.9 km from Kavi Subhash to Beleghata, and its Beleghata to IT Centre stretch was in trial runs when we checked. Once open, it should help people coming from the southern EM Bypass, but New Town is still waiting, so a New Town office suits people who drive or live nearby.
