Real Estate Company Names: 200 Agency Name Ideas With Logos

Two hundred real estate agency name ideas shown as logos, with advice on testing, registering and avoiding common naming mistakes.

How Agents and Brokers Name a Real Estate Business

A seller hands an agent the most valuable thing they own, so a real estate name should sound settled and local before it sounds clever. Buyers scroll past dozens of agency names on a property portal in one sitting. The ones they remember are short, quick to say on the phone and tied to a place or a person.

Some words are worn out in this trade. Premier, Elite, Dream, Prime and Luxury sit on so many yard signs that they blur together. Realty, Homes, Property and Estates still work as the last word, but the first word has to carry the identity.

Put each candidate where it will actually appear.

  • A for-sale board read from a passing car. Two or three words in large type is the practical limit.
  • The side of a car or van, where the phone number needs as much room as the name.
  • Your Google Maps listing. The name there has to match your office sign and your registration, and adding extra keywords to it breaks Google’s listing rules.
  • A square app icon or profile photo, which fits one word or a pair of initials.
  • Portal listings and print ads. Many US states require the brokerage name to appear next to the agent’s name, so a long brokerage name eats space on every ad.

Decide early how far you plan to grow. A town name such as Lakeside Realty wins trust in that town and feels odd once you open a second office two counties away. A surname brand travels well. It also ties the business to you, which matters if you ever want to sell the agency.

Test a shortlist of five names before you print anything. Say each one over the phone to three people and ask them to spell it back. Search each name with your city on Google and on the main property portals to see whether a local agency already uses something close. Then print a sign mock-up at full size in black and white, stand ten meters back and cross off any name you cannot read.

Licensing and Brand Steps for a Real Estate Name

Look up the domain first. Try the .com, then your country ending. If the exact match is gone, browse our real estate website domain ideas or run the name through the domain name generator.

Search the trademark register in every country where you will advertise. In the US that is the USPTO search system, in the UK the IPO trade mark search, and in India the IP India public search. A clash with a national franchise brand can force a rebrand after your boards are made.

Then register the business.

  • India. An LLP or private company name is approved through the MCA portal before incorporation. Agents also register with the real estate regulator (RERA) in their state. Our guide to registering an LLP in India covers the filing.
  • US. Form an LLC or corporation with your state, or file a DBA if you trade under a name other than your own. Many state real estate commissions also want the trade name on the brokerage license. See registering an LLP in the USA.
  • UK. Companies House will reject a name that is the same as an existing company, and words such as British, National or Chartered need extra approval. Estate agents must also join a government-approved redress scheme.

Claim the social handles in the same week, even on platforms you will not use yet. Set up your Google Business Profile with the exact registered name, office address and opening hours. Order the logo, sign boards and an invoice template once the name is locked. Our free invoice generator handles referral and consultancy fees. Real Estate Names That Break Licensing or Trademark Rules

  • Putting Realtor in the firm name. REALTOR is a membership mark of the National Association of Realtors in the US. Its rules let members place the term next to a firm name but never inside it.
  • Echoing a franchise brand. National franchises police their marks closely. A similar name with similar colors invites a cease-and-desist letter.
  • Naming the agency after one development. The name dates itself the week that scheme sells out.
  • Promises in the name. Words like Fast Sale or Guaranteed Sold can break advertising rules and look odd when a home sits unsold for months.
  • Creative spellings. A name like Realtee or Homz loses referrals because people cannot find you after hearing it once.
  • Initials only. JKR Property means nothing to a buyer who has never met you.
  • A name that locks you into one niche. Condo or Lettings in the name makes it harder to move into houses, land or commercial sales later.
